2010 Open Workshop
We are delighted to present the 2010 Playhouse Project Open Workshop, which will take place at the Playhouse in East Hampton on Friday-Saturday October 22-23.
At this year’s Open Workshop South Fork student and adult singers and musicians will perform the world premiere of our first Playhouse Project commission, Roger Ames’s Laudate Dominum. This is a marvelously exciting new work–a tribute to Leonard Bernstein and his Young People’s Concerts.
The complete Open Workshop repertoire combines for a beautiful musical program, and we cordially invite all to participate as performers or guests.
The Workshop/Performance will be led by Maestro Geoffrey Simon, and will include a discussion forum with Roger Ames about the composing process, focusing on Ames’s newest work, Laudate Dominum.
We look forward to welcoming you,
Playhouse Project Artistic Directors – Mirra Bank and Richard Brockman
Music Advisor and Principal conductor – Geoffrey Simon
Swiss Global Founder and Director – Heather DeHaes
